Questions to consider before travelling |
Reason – It is becoming apparent that more and more countries are going to insist on proof of double vaccination to allow entry. It is also anticipated that the UK Government will allow return from green and amber list countries without the need for self-isolation on your return.
Reason – Due to the volatile nature of travel at this time we have to be able to contact you in the event you are affected by a change in circumstances.
Reason – It is reported that access to your vaccine record will be required to prove your vaccine status. Although a hard (paper) copy may be available from your GP it is currently tricky to get this information easily.
Reason – Some people have different names on their passports including those who have recently married and some who have changed their name by deed poll. It is vital that your passport matches both your travel documents and your NHS app information.
Many countries throughout the world are insisting on at least 6 months validity upon entry to their country. As good practice we recommend all customers should have at least this period of time available before expiration and as such start to treat their passport as a 9 and a half year one.
Reason – It is really important that travellers are aware that rules about returning to the UK can change. Those countries on the green list at the time of travel do afford more comfort as there will be notice given if a change in status is needed. However, the green watch list countries can change to amber or even red at no notice. We don’t think this will happen unless something extreme happens but it is important that you are aware that revised rules may apply to your return journey.
We are confident that a change to legislation will allow for those returning from an amber destination providing they have double vaccine status.
